Queenspotting

Today I went a bit Queen spotting. Unfortunately the queen was a tad busy and could not see me. She did reschedule to a future date.

The trip went as follows.
  1. I started off at Green Park. Nice.
  2. Then it was Buckingham Palace. So - So. Lots of people and gold.
  3. Off to St James Park, with some birdies and water. Relaxing park.
  4. The Trafalgar square with the South African Embassy.
  5. I went to the National Gallery and saw lots of painting. A Rehembrant as well.
  6. Down I walk to Downing Street (where the prime minister works). Was couple of cameras and people waiting for something. The guys with the guns scared me so I did not take any pictures there.
  7. Just up the road from that is Westminster Abbey and across the street St Margrets and St Stephens. All close by.
I was quite a day.

Just look as all those pics.

Sightseing St Pauls and Tower of London

Grea and I went sight seeing. We took a walk along the Thames River. Starting at the World War 1 and 2 memorials. We went on to The Tower of London and then St Pauls Catherdral. St Pauls is very big. Finally we met my brother at a local pub for a good supper (a burger off course) and a pint.

The photos are split into two parts as a facebook album can only have 60 photo's in it. These are only the good ones. We took 370 photos in total. I used Hendrik's camera (He ask if we can bring it to the pub). It takes very nice photos. The last 2 photos of part 2 are stiched photos. It came out very nice. Grea stitched it for us. Enjoy.

Going Guitar Shopping

Hi Everybody.

I went out looking for a new guitar. Denmark Street, London. About a block from Tottenham Court Road Underground station. Of the about 20 shops, 15 does musical instruments. 10 of these only do guitars. Although the shops are not so big as in South Africa they stock way more models. 100 Electric guitars easy, not counting the acoustics or bass guitars. The vintage store has antique electrics models and £4000 for one of these babies is not uncommon. There is even a shop for sheet music. Books from Dire Straits to Improving soloing techniques. Enjoy the pictures.
